Hi All,
Now that we are mentioning Thays, I would like to bring up a subject that I am quite hesitant to talk about: donation :-)
In the last 2 CVA 69-76 Reunions, we contributed some money to the CVA Former Teachers and Employees Group, which is represented by thay Nguyen Xuan Que. Through thay Nguyen Van Dung, they really appreciated the hearty help from CVA class of '76.
This group uses money sent from the U.S. to help its members who are experiencing hardship. So you know, thay Que doesn't split the money nor goes party when he receives fund.
We often talk proudly of being CVA or having CVA tradition. Would it be great if we can continue CVA spirit by sharing a bit of what we have with other CVAs? More specially these are the ones who, more or less, have some influence in how and who we are today - hopefully this turns out to be a good thing :-) ...
Contributions are sent to VN each year before Tet, about this time of year, by a group of CVA teachers in Orange county, CA. Thay Du~ng is usually the one who publishes the letter of receipt from thay Que.
Attached is a picture of from VN I got a couple of days ago. Time taken is unknown. Do you recognize any of the old CVA faces...?
